Business Development Manager and Patent Agent

Ms Oon Yen Yen holds an Honours degree in Microbiology from University Malaya, and puts her experience in academia to good use for Henry Goh's clients. As a research assistant in the Microbiology Division of the Department of Genetics and Molecular Biology at the university, her research interests were focused on gastro-enteric viruses.

A Registered Patent, Industrial Design and Trademark Agent, Ms Oon specialises in the fields of biotechnology and chemistry. Her main responsibilities as a patent agent include assisting clients in identifying patentable inventions, drafting of patent specifications, preparation, filing and prosecution of Malaysian and overseas patent and industrial design applications. She also advises on results of novelty searches, infringement and patentability opinions.

Ms Oon was appointed Business Development Manager at Henry Goh in 2008. She has a keen understanding of client's business issues and needs and oversees the marketing activity and implementation of the firm's business development plan. In line with our firm's philosophy of cooperative growth, her tasks include the establishment of strategic partnerships with local and foreign associates to better serve our clients in the global IP arena.
